The tutorials are good, but some of them get really difficult really fast. In the normal level you will see that you can jump much further with a bunnyhop than without one and it is not a "test scenario" so the difficulty will not increase that quickly. And for the bunnyhop: Try it on a normal level. Maybe then they can give you more specific advice.ĭid you turn on the on-screen-inputs? It helps a lot to see the inputs of other riders. You could upload a video of your effort and see what people say. Leading to the final ‘left’ which will lift your back wheel up. Then the following ‘right’ will push you more diagonally (into the air) instead of forward. So lean forward to get the momentum to get your wheel up a bit with the first ‘left’. As when youre moving (fast), its a bit harder to get your front wheel up. When most people want 5-10 minutes so they can get in and start hopping.Īnyway, instead of a ‘left right left’. At least, without a 40 minute video describing how the physics works. It’s all based on muscle memory and more about the timing of each input, which will only become a ‘left right left’ motion when you already have said muscle memory.Īs you can probably tell from the rest of my comment, its a hard thing to explain. Which is how the bike reacts to all three of these inputs individually. Just doing a ‘left right left’ combination doesnt help if you dont know the context already. The problem is that its based on physics. Otherwise, it's a damn shame how unapproachable this game is, because it is truly fun as long as you avoid the difficult stages. If anyone has any actual sources that can teach someone to perform these advanced tricks to someone who _doesn't already have that experience_, please I'm all ears. And the only advice online is "do the University lesson". The frustrating thing is that these sorts of maneuvers are absolutely essential to move onto more difficult tracks, so the game is effectively over when you can't perform these tricks. How about some "If you are failing in X way, try Y." type tips? We need some _actual_ guidance to help understand the technique, to try new things, to hone the skill. This statement does nothing to help someone learn how to approach the jump for the larger B+ gaps. If you've made it to B, you've been doing this for every attempt. "I've raised the barrels, so you need to lean forward before the bunny hop" is not helpful. It's just failed attempt after failed attempt, that you simply cannot learn from. And since there is no consistency, it's impossible to find a pattern to work towards to improve. The "back" final step meant to counteract this makes no sense physically, as it rotates the bike _counterclockwise_ (ie. I can perform an attempt 200+ times, and maybe twice it'll raise somewhat, but there's no way in hell the back tire would ever clear the barrels. It frankly feels random what I just described. The actual bike has absolutely no springiness to perform the launches required. The actual bike at best stays level, at worst the back wheel flings forward on the "forward" step of the "back-forward-back" movement, launching the bike _down_ off the end of the ramp into the barrels. The fake bike springs back and launches several inches off the ground with no speed. The bike simply does not perform as it does in the video demonstration, it'd be laughable if it wasn't so frustrating. And I've never seen any demonstration video as terribly explained and anti-beginner than the University of Trials session. People that keep saying to "practice" don't realize that you can't get better at something you literally have no foundation on.
